The other day I had friends over to visit my new town and see the house. I’ve been minding the house on my own, so it was nice to spend time with folk who's company I enjoy the most. I’d like it if I could spend more time with friends this year, but I acknowledge we’re all at that age where there’s a LOT going on in life, and some of my friends have a great deal of personal commitments to family. It was fun to look about one of the local antique shops and I did pick up some neat things: tiny bee-shaped buttons (for craft) and a French-langue book (to practise the written language).

With my friends beside me for morale, I broke open a geode I was gifted earlier in the month by another pal. It has white quartz inside. I’m taking the pieces into the workplace tomorrow to show those who were interested upon learning that I had a special rock to break. It broke into four chunks rather than two clean halves. I’ll say that it wasn’t as easy as I’d thought it would be, but it’s really cool to see the sparky minerals inside!

I actually have many types of rocks I’d like to sort out, including a small collection of green-coloured rocks. Not sure where or how to display them just yet. Most of the objects I’ve picked up that I’m eager to display in some form are some sort of rock - typically fossils from beaches.

I’ve taken a few phone photographs of the flower blossoms on the trees about home over the past couple of weeks, and while I do share some of the pictures with close friends over text, part of me feels that I should post them to a blog. Mayhaps here? I don’t want to run out of space on my (free) site. (Oh. I'm no good at visualising the amount of space I'm allocated. Though I'm well-aware I can host images off-site.) I’m unsure what to do. When my previous smart phone died, I was quite upset that I hadn’t backed up the photographs. I did, however, post a great deal of them to Discord. I’ve no loyalty to the app, but I suppose I owe it for holding my photographs.

Ah. Earliar this month, I had a ecocardiogram. I never made an entry on that, huh? As far as physical discomfort in conderned, the prodding my ribs hurt, but overall, it wasn't a bother. I'm not so shy about my body as I may have been when I was younger, so stripping off my clothes isn't a big deal anymore when I must see medical specailsits. In any case, they see nudes all the time. Perhaps more-so than the average artist? I did put on the medical gown backwards at first... as in, the "correct" way. I had to wear it back-to-front for the electrodes to stick to my bare chest. The technicains were so polite, though one parted with "see you again". I hope not! Not any time soon. Thanks! I'm wanting to move on to other tests, and a big-deal operation.
