With how busy life is outside of work just now, all I want to do in my down-time is rest! Still, I’m happy that I’d decided to riffle through local thrift shops over the weekend. I scored some nice cotton trousers and a cozy 100% lambswool sweater. I’m going to be so comfy this fall. Truthfully, I’ll miss how cheap the second-hand stores are around the coast. You see… it’s not easy to build a cute wardrobe of used clothes made for longevity… it takes time and patience, but it’s the hunt that’s enjoyable, and the payoff that really feels rewarding.
While I took my sweet time wandering about town, I visited one of the newer bakeries on one of the most run-down streets, and I got to try a pain Suisse. Also I saw a big value bank note from the till that some old customer had paid with.
Well, I even treated myself to visiting one of the antique bookstores and picked up some vintage postcards and ephemera. No books this time. It’s too easy to spend all my cash on old art books or vintage comics and whatever else! Though I don’t want to spend all of my free time spending my hard-earned pay, so I’ve got to plan some outings in nature. Autumn’s a great time to watch the plants and animals change. When it doesn’t rain too much, it’s one of the seasons I can enjoy the most.
